Ethiopia’s ex-President honored for Fostering Smooth Transition

Former Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome has been honored at a special ceremony held at the National Palace in the capital.

The Chinese educated, formed Diplomat served as Ethiopia’s President for almost 5 years. He stepped down at the end of October 2018 giving the way for Sahle-Work Zewde to become the country’s first female president.

The former president was honored for facilitating a peaceful transition of power. The grand event was also organized to recognize the former president efforts in propelling Ethiopia’s economy.
